# Densifier

Densifier is a liquid chemical hardener that soaks into concrete and reacts inside it to make the surface denser, harder and less prone to dusting, which helps it take a polish.

A densifier is applied to the slab as a liquid. It penetrates the concrete and reacts with free lime and other compounds to form a harder surface. CPC Floor Coatings describes it as a liquid chemical hardener that makes the surface of the slab denser and more durable.

The same source explains that a densifier helps fill the microscopic pores in concrete. That reduces surface dusting, improves abrasion resistance, and prepares the floor for polishing.

For warehouses, shops and showrooms, dusting is a daily annoyance. Fine powder rises from a soft slab and settles on stock and equipment. Densifying addresses that at the source.

Densifier is not a coating. It does not sit on top, so it will not peel. It also does not fix cracks or deep stains.
